SQL Server Day 26 Oct 2013 – Bangalore witnesses yet another fine SQL show

Unbelievable, SQLServerGeeks team made it, Yes SQL Server Day event in 3 cities (Bangalore, Gurgaon and Hyderabad) on same day (date: 26 Oct 2013). This is first in its type where any SQL community organized events on the same day in multiple cities in India.

I’m fortunate to be part of   SQL SERVER DAY event of Bangalore. Despite of festive season, we received houseful attendees. Hats up to the Bangalore audience.  We have had two great speakers presenting 45 minutes of wonderful session each.

For Bangalore event, Amit R S Bansal (President and founder of SQLServergeeks.com) started the key notes followed by Karthick Pk’s (Technical Lead at Microsoft) session on “SQL Server Replication”.

Karthick demonstrated how to set up SQL server replication and how to troubleshoot issue related to replication. The session was very detail oriented. He explained each step of replication set up very precisely.

During the demo, audience asked their questions on replication they face and Karthik took everyone’s question one by one and clarify all of their doubts.

Second session was by Amit on “Unlocking the Locking mystery in SQL Server”. This session was full of demo with real-time scenarios. I can bet, at least 90 percent of us not aware of what he presented on locking behavior.

Attendees were witting their notes making sure they are not missing any points.

Both of the sessions were very interactive. We had a question/ answer session as well at the end, where all attendees got an opportunity to clarify their doubts from industry experts and won goodies.

As always to encourage us, Mr.Sudhir Rawat (Lead Technical Consultant at Microsoft) was also present. We missed one of our supporter and mentor Nishant Thacker too.

Photography is one of my hobbies and I took some photographs during the event. All of the photographs are uploaded in our facebook page. I tried to take our attendee’s entire picture. If you find yourself then tag yourself and those who don’t find their picture, just stop by me in our next event. I’ll make sure, your picture will be taken.

The event was full of fun and learning. I learned new things and for me it is worth of time if I learn something new.  I encourage everyone to attend all future SQLServerDay event.
