This new type of index architecture along with batch execution mode, improves data warehouse query performance by hundreds to thousands of times in some cases, and can normally give a tenfold speedup for a broad range of DW queries. Join this session (Part 1) to get introduce to this block-buster feature of SQL Server 2012. This is a 2 part series and part 2 will focus on advanced concepts related to columnstore indexes.
