Amit R S Bansal is a Director & Principal Consultant at eDominer Systems & Peopleware India. He leads the SQL & BI practice at eDominer with a much focused team providing consulting, training, content development & SQL support services to more than 120+ SQL Server customers globally. A seasoned speaker; he frequently speaks at major events and conferences including Microsoft TechEd North America & Microsoft TechEd Europe. His session at TechEd North America 2014 was voted in ‘TechEd Top Ten’ at 4th position. His previous sessions at TechED North America 2012 & TechED Europe 2013 were top-rated in Data Platform track. Over the last 10 years, he has worked on countless SQL Server projects, consulted, trained & mentored more than 9000 IT professionals on SQL Server, delivered more than 500 workshops for 120+ SQL Server enterprise customers. Apart from holding many Microsoft credentials, Amit is the first and the only Microsoft Certified Master of SQL Server in India (outside Microsoft). He is also a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) awardee on SQL Server holding the status since 2007. SQL Server Performance Tuning – Present and Future – (DEV-01A) When it comes to performance tuning, a DBA is challenged with many problems and many solutions. In this session you will experience a journey through performance tuning in SQL Server from intermediate to advanced level.
Amit will be covering the performance tuning techniques available in the current versions of SQL Server. How to identify the performance issues and the best methods to troubleshoot and provide a long term solution.
Manu will be covering what SQL Server has to offer for performance tuning in the next version. The performance tuning techniques available in SQL Server 2016 that adds few extra points to the decision making to upgrade.
